Yes, it is converted to L-Arginine in the body. If you take L-Arginine tabs or powder you lose a great percentage of the effect due to the first pass liver effect and clearance. I guarantee you that if you take 2 -2.5gm a day that within a week you will notice a marked difference. It has really helped me.
