Thanks, all, for your feedback. I'm 6 weeks post-op tomorrow. I've been in regular contact with the doc regarding questions/issues; but I'm not getting the guidance I need. He even admitted that he cannot predict how this will ultimately turn out for me. I've accepted the fact that I won't have a perfect-looking penis--too much damage over the last 16 years, so I've learned to lower my expectations...but I am anxious to conclude that progress will be had (at the end of this reconstruction). I do believe that my flaccid has improved tremendously; but oddly enough, the erect appearance has not. I understand that I'm still recovering; but I have questions that will help me feel conficent in the ultimate success--questions that doc can't or doesn't seem to want to answer....so, my phallo friends, if anybody has experience with these quetsions, please let me know:
1) The shaft is hard in places. What is it? When will it go away, and what can I do now to ensure that I don't disrupt anything (or should I disrupt it-i.e massage?) 2) Flaccid is not painful; but erection hurts a little--like a pressure, or stretching/restriction feeling. Why? Will (or when will it subside)? |

Hi all, my recon was $11,000. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow, still hoping for some more progress with the appearance of my erection. All in all, I think I've made improvement, but still waiting for erection matter to subside. Not that I can't get an erection, but the appearnce is not where I had hoped it would be. Still haven't had intercouse yet.

Hi All,
8-weeks post-op today. Flaccid looking good, 1 big problem with erection. I have this rubber-band indent, which becomes glaringly obvious upon erection. Here's my question....I had an indent before the surgery (due to my necrosis problem in '98), but it wasn't as bad/visisble/obvious as it is now....so why is it worse now? Did the stitching cause the skin to pull together that strongly to cause the indent to get worse? I can't imagine the fat removal caused the indent to get worse (bc I didn't have any fat in the top part where the scar was). And the Belladerm collar at the top base shouldn't have caused the indent to get worse. All speculation on my part...I'm still hoping that time will smooth this out...not expecting a miracle, only a smoother, more-even skin appearance at that area. |

i also still think it looks great compared to before...you had a lot of crap removed so no doubt the dent would show slightly more, but its hardly a big deal, i think as the belladerm reabsorbs over time it will get less noticeable
and yes im pretty sure he would have stitched the belladerm so this would make a bit of scar tissue form where you see the join, if the stitching fully dissolves or even if it doesnt the scar tissue will break a bit over time hopefully making it even less noticeable i really think it looks great, honestly and wouldnt even worry about the above i mean you can get a full normal erection and everything looks fine, no need to worry |
