Default When to go to the gym after surgery

I was wondering if anyone knew when you can start working out after surgery?

each surgery is different in terms of the healing involoved but I would imagine its best to wait a good month at least before attempting anything heavy for any surgery. Apparently if its alloderm or dermal grafts moving around too early comprises vascularisation and graft take so its best to lie on your back and not move in the early stages. You also want to keep your penis elevated to minimise swelling.

Best advise we can give is ask your surgeon and after a bit more than a month you should start light and your body will help you decide what you can manage

Thanks. I was actually wanting the implants from Dr. Elist. Everything else doesn't seem to appealing.

you won't be doing much for two months. You might be able to lift and work upper body at five or six weeks, but no cardio or legs until week 8 or 9.

Thumbs up

I think it will take you minimum 2 months to recover after the surgery. I agree with Mjralph33, he should avoid thigh exercise until 9 weeks.

Thanks guys, doesn't seem like too much of a sacrafice, I have just have to make sure I don't start too soon. Well I scheduled my initial consultation for Feb. 19th. Can't wait, I will post my discussion with Dr. Elist. The only two things that could potentially hold me back is lack of financing or me not getting the answers I'm looking for. I've done research over the last few months and everything seems good, so I don't envision a bad appointment.

I have a question for anyone who's had surgery with Elist- Exactly what does your flaccid penis look like from the side? I've read many people who desire to have a good looking penis for the gym- the thought of having augmentation actually makes me worry that it'll look as though I have a halfer when I'm at the gym. I've never felt comfortable being naked in front of other men with any sort of erection- I believe this to be normal...

Well cross that one off my list of problems- that looks 1) quite impressive and 2) something I'd be comfortable displaying when changing in front of friends/family. The thought of constantly having the appearance of half-mast was troubling. Much appreciated!
